A NEW 18-hole mini golf course was opened this weekend in Chester’s Westminster Park with help from broadcaster and former tour pro Ken Brown MBE.

Located at the Green Day Café site, the new course is aimed at getting more young people involved in the sport and providing a base which keen golfers can use to hone their skills.

Ken Brown was on hand to open the course at 12 noon on Saturday, March 9, and put the course through its paces together with Chester’s Town Crier.

The mini golf course has also been designed to complement the existing Pitch & Putt golf course within the park, which players can progress onto.

England Golf affiliated, the new course has been project managed, designed and financially backed by Ken Moodie of Creative Golf Design Ltd. Former PGA and European Tour winner, Ken is also a design consultant.

Visitors of all ages and abilities attended the event, with the Green Day Café providing refreshments for players after they had tried out the new facility.
