A TOTAL of 154 properties in Cheshire are set to feature in a scheme billed as the UKs largest open house event.

The event taking place over two weekends in May features more than 6,200 homes nationally.

Bridgfords, Beresford Adams, Entistle Green, Clive Watkin and Swetenhams will all host open houses in the national campaign.

The event spans over two weekends in May, the 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th and features estate agents up and down the country.

In a similar campaign last year estate agents saw 404 offers across just one weekend in September and homes that sold achieved on average 100% of their asking price.

Patricia Cliff, branch manager of Bridgfords in Sandbach, said: “The last four weeks has seen one of the busiest Aprils for many years for new properties coming onto the market.

"The area benefits from excellent transport links and Sandbach in particular is highly commutable meaning we see buyers from out of the area coming to us often.

"Our middle range homes are currently selling well and as we have moved into the spring months we are seeing a great interest in the higher end market which was slower last year.

This interest from both buyers and sellers to get moving has been incredibly positive.”
