A ROAD in Chester had to be closed this morning after a van burst into flames.
Fire crews from Tarporley and Widnes attended the scene on Christleton Road, Boughton, at around 10.45am (Friday, October 5).
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews found the van was well alight and crews, one wearing a breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out the fire.
"Whilst crews fought the fire the road was temporarily closed to traffic."
