THE body of a man has been found in a canal in Ellesmere Port.
Police and fire teams were alerted to the scene at 7.59pm on Tuesday, August 6 at the canal at Telfords Quay, following reports of a man being in the canal.
Searches were made by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the police Under Water Search Unit.
Sadly, the body of a 56-year-old local man was located at 11.28pm.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "It is believed there are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
