THE death of a man whose body was found inside a car in Ellesmere Port is not being treated as suspicious, policed have confirmed.
Officers were called out to a "sudden death" on Bidston Green, Great Sutton, shortly after 9.30am today (March 31).
The area was cordoned off while enquiries were carried out.
Police have confirmed that the man's family have been informed and are currently being supported by officers.
In a statement, Cheshire Constabulary said: "The death is believed to be non-suspicious.
"Family have been informed and supported by officers, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
In an earlier statement, the force said: "At 9.33am on Tuesday 31 March police were called to the sudden death of a man in Ellesmere Port.
"Officers attended to the scene to find the man deceased inside a car on Bidston Green."
