CREWS were called out to a car fire on the M53 in Ellesmere Port.
The incident happened at 11.21am today (September 16) on the southbound carriageway between junctions seven and eight.
Two fire engines – one from Powey Lane and another from Ellesmere Port – attended the scene.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters have extinguished a car on fire on the M53 southbound between junction seven to junction eight.
"A hose reel jet was used to put out the flames.
"A thermal imaging camera checked the temperature and the area was made safe."
