FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire involving a bus on a motorway in Cheshire.
One fire crew attended the incident at about 1.45 today (Sunday, July 11) on the M6 southbound, between junctions 19 and 18
On arrival firefighters discovered that the vehicle was a 20 metres long and no-one was unaccounted for.
The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and then damp the bus down to make it safe.
Temperatures were monitored with a thermal imaging camera.
Firefighters left the scene once they were satisfied that the bus was safe.
They were in attendance for more than half-an-hour.
Highways England and the police also attended.
No-one is believed to have been injured by the fire.
