A BUS was evacuated this afternoon (Thursday, September 21) in Ellesmere Port after reports of a fire on board.
A fire crew were called to Chester Road in Great Sutton at around 12.56pm.
Firefighters inspected the vehicle with a thermal imagining camera and a hose reel jet. The cause of the fire was revealed to be an engine malfunction.
All passengers evacuated the bus safely and firefighters remained at the scene until police arrived to manage the traffic.
