EMERGENCY services are currently dealing with an incident after the body of a man was found in New Brighton this morning (Wednesday, November 29).
At around 9.45am this morning (Wednesday, November 29) officers received the report and they remain at the scene on Victoria Road along with North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
The man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "The investigation is in its very early stages and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"Work is ongoing to identify the man and locate his next of kin.
"A post-mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death."
