A body was found by the side of the A5117 this morning.
A STRETCH of road in Ellesmere Port remains closed this afternoon (Wednesday, January 10) after a search for a missing man resulted in the discovery of a body.
At around 10.30am officers searching the area at the side of the A5117 (Strawberry Way East) located the body of a man.
The individual's next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by officers.
The A5117 was closed in both directions between the A41 Backford Cross Roundabout and the A5032 Strawberry Roundabout, and officers remain in attendance at the scene whilst enquiries are undertaken.
The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
