FIREFIGHTERS responded to an incident on the M53 near Chester.
One fire crew attended the scene at about 12.20pm yesterday (Saturday, January 27) between junctions 12 and 11.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire an Rescue Service said: "Firefighters attended a report of a car fire on the hard shoulder of the M53 Northbound between junctions 12 and 11.
"Although the vehicle did not show any signs of fire, the crew checked the car over with a thermal imaging camera before handing the incident over to attending police officers."
