Four fire engines were deployed to tackle a large barn blaze on the outskirts of Chester on Thursday afternoon (June 27).
The incident, off Warrington Road, was reported to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at 4.53pm.
Engines from Chester, Powey Lane and Ellesmere Port were sent to the scene , along with a water bowser from Ellesmere Port.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation as the fire had spread to the roof of a nearby property.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "A large barn fire in Chester saw four fire engines attend.
"A hose reel, three main water jets and three ground monitors were used to quickly get water onto the fire and extinguish it. The roof of a nearby property was involved in the fire and one person suffered from smoke inhalation.
"Five firefighters wore breathing apparatus at the incident and they were in attendance for approximately six hours."
