CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL batted out for a draw at Oxton in the Premier Division.

Joshua Henderson (2-35 off 10 overs) and Harry Killoran (2-31 off eight overs) attempted to restrict the home club's progress after the Filkins Lane club had won the toss and decided to bowl.

But Shaaiq Choudhry (88) and Alex Money (44) played their part before Oxton declared on 159 for 6 after 35 overs.

Boughton Hall struggled in reply with opener Bob Evans, Matthew Griffiths and skipper Lee Dixon all being dismissed to leave the visitors on 40 for 4.

Steve Ogilby (29) top scored for Boughton Hall, but his team failed to provide any back up as they stumbled from 74 for 5 to 77 for 7, and then 81 for 8 when Ollie Law was dismissed for 18 - Chester's second highest scorer.

Killoran (8 not out) and Henderson (7 not out) then combined to ensure their side held out for a draw on 94 for 8 after 35 overs.

Steve Johnson played a pivotal role in Christleton's two runs Division One home win against Oulton Park.

The Little Heath club bowler racked up figures of 6-42 off 14.5 overs alongside Iftikhar Naseer (3-21 off seven overs), to skittle the visitors all out for 111 after 29.5 overs.

Martin East (37) top scored for Park, but he and Ben Kettle (14) were the only two visiting batsmen to reach double figures.

Christleton skipper Iroshan de Silva had earlier led by example by hitting five boundaries in his 83-ball 52 runs innings alongside Nick O'Connell (19 not out), as Christleton posted 113 for 6 off 30 overs.

Oliver Thompson starred for Tattenhall in their four wicket home victory against Heaton Mersey in Division Two.

Thompson took 5-14 off nine overs alongside Martin Sharp (2-38 off eight overs) and Owen Williamson (2-13 off five overs) to dismiss the visitors for 139 after 37.3 overs.

Sam Green smashed 14 boundaries in his 66 runs off 61 balls to top score in Tattenhall's reply of 143 for 6 after 40 overs which also featured 22 runs from Thompson and 19 runs from opener Glenn Coppack.

Alvanley drew their Division Two match at Warrington after winning the toss and inserting the hosts.

Warrington posted 184 for 4 off 43 overs, and Alvanley compiled 113 for 9 in reply.
