CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL came out on top in a high scoring Premier Division contest at Oulton Park.
Hall captain William Owen won the toss and elected to field but despite losing a wicket with just two runs on the board, Oulton Park soon got into their stride.
Opener Daniel Leech cracked a magnificent 154 off 146 runs, including five 6s and 22 4s, and he had support from Tom Hyslop (66) and Matt Jamieson (55) as the hosts posted 328 for eight from their 55 overs.
Lee Dixon led the way with 3 for 23 for Hall while Jack Williams and Warren Goodwin both claimed two victims.
It looked an imposing target but Hall made a confident start and reached 96 when Goodwin fell for 64.
Fellow opener Richard Moore departed on 46 but Jamie Crawley made a superb 124 off 12 ball, which included 6 sixes and 11 4s, to keep Hall on track for victory.
Dixon took over and his 60, as well as an unbeaten 18 from Williams, led Hall to a winning score of 329 for six with five balls remaining.
Victory leaves Hall third in the table, 69 runs behind leaders Timperley who claimed a winning draw against Alderley Edge.
Timperley made 265 for nine but were denied success as Edge hung on at 228 for eight.
Second placed Nantwich sealed a five wickets success over Cheadle who were dismissed for 98. Nantwich won with 99 for 5.
Elsewhere, Toft (209) in fourth position lost against Bramhall (210 for four), Grappenhall (190 for three) beat Didsbury (189) and Neston (115 for five) overcame Marple (114).
Bottom of the table Barrow celebrated their first win of the Division Two campaign at the 13th attempt, defeating fellow strugglers Stockport by six wickets.
Stockport batted first and were all out for 156, Sam Edwards making 53 as Phil Johnson took 3 for 28 and Iroshan De Silva 3 for 57.
In reply, Barrow dipped to a perilous 7 for three but opener David McClements (51) kept the innings together while unbeaten duo De Silva (68) and Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka (27) led their side to a winning 157 for four.
Alvanley, chasing promotion from Division Two, were held to a losing draw against Northwich.
Tharusha Fernando made 84 in Northwich's 204 for six and Alvanley finished on 184 for nine in reply, Sam Baxter making 66 for those runs.
Christleton lost by 66 runs against Runcorn who posted 242 all out.
Joshua Joseph (56) and Atif Bajwa (37) put Christleton in a good position but they were eventually dismissed for 176.
Tattenhall (128) were also on the wrong end of a defeat against Romiley (129 for four) who won by six wickets.
