Chester Boughton Hall kept up their impressive run of form with a six-wicket victory at Cheadle in the Cheshire County Premier League.
Greg Dixon’s patient 59 off 124 balls helped Cheadle post 197 for six off 55 overs, Jack Williams collecting 3-58, Harry Killoran taking 1-38 and Charlie Fleet claiming 1-32.
Hall wasted no time in reaching their victory target, Rick Moore making 71 with fellow opener Warren Goodwin smashing 57 off just 32 balls.
Killoran made 39 not out and Tom Wyatt added an unbeaten 18 to guide Hall home on 198 for four in the 34th over.
Hall are now within 49 points of leaders Timperley, who dug in for a draw at Nantwich, who had Irish international Niall O’Brien in the runs with 133 off 117 balls in their total of 298 for six declared. Timperley finished up on 184 for six to claim a draw off 58 overs.
Barrow gave their Division One survival hopes a boost with a thrilling one-run win over Davenham.
Iroshan De Silva’s 55 not out from 118 balls helped Barrow post 171 for six, David McClements adding 30.
Despite Sam Hunt making 45, Davenham collapsed to 134 for nine in reply, De Silva taking a superb 6-36 off 15 overs, while Nick Munford took 2-30.
However, a dramatic 10th-wicket stand took the visitors to within one run of victory, before Ryan Holloway got the last wicket just in the nick of time.
Matt Owen hit a century in Upton’s drawn match against Sale. Owen made 100 from 137 balls as the hosts posted 249 for two declared, Chris McArthur adding 70.
David Williams claimed 3-48 for Upton but Sale held on to score 214 for six, Greg Gyves making 69.
Alvanley reignited their Division Two promotion push with a two-wicket success at home to Runcorn.
The visitors posted 207 all out, Mike Rowlands taking a superb 6-43 off 11.4 overs, as James Ecclestone claimed 2-44.
Stephen Charles then hit 69 off 85 balls and John Whitley added 45 as Alvanley got home on 210 for eight off 42.3 overs, Chris Charles scoring 33.
Christleton suffered a disappointing 131-run thrashing at home to Brooklands.
Kevin Carroll made 114 for the visitors in their 265 for five declared, Arslan Dar claiming 2-80 off his 14 overs, Javed Iqbal claiming 2-66.
In reply, Mubashir Hassan hit 62 off just 31 balls but Christleton were dismissed for a paltry 134.
Tattenhall held on for a draw at Mobberley, the hosts posting 198 for nine, Ben Pearce collecting 3-61.
In response, Glenn Coppack made 32 and Sean Reeves scored 27 as Hall finished on 170 for eight.
