RYAN LOWE is a name in the frame to become Sheffield Wednesday's new manager.
The current Plymouth boss has been priced at 18/1 to replace Garry Monk in the Wednesday hotseat.
Former Chester City striker Lowe spent a season at Hillsborough, scoring eight times during the 2011/12 season as Wednesday won promotion back to the Championship.
Lowe, 42, who has won promotion from League Two with both Bury and Plymouth, is fifth favourite to land the job, behind Tony Pulis (1/3), Paul Cook (3/1), Nigel Pearson (10/1) and Eddie Howe (16/1).
Monk was sacked on Monday with Wednesday chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, telling the club’s website: “I feel the time is right to make a change and I wish Garry and his team all the best.
"I would like to say thank you for the time and effort Garry and his staff have committed to Sheffield Wednesday.”
