Ringstead. - Jean Irene 1928-2017. Jean Irene Ringstead born on June 2nd,1928 passed away, peacefully, on 26th September, 2017. Irene, as she was known to her friends and family, lived a long and full life. She was loving and devoted to her sons John and Barry and to her pre deceased husband, Don. Irene was a keen golfer and member of Helsby Golf Club, where she made many friends and spent many happy hours. She was a long time member of the Mollington Women's Institute and attended St.Oswald’s Church in Backford. Irene won awards for her superb knitted garments and baking at various Cheshire Shows. She made the best chocolate cake ever according to her sons. Irene made many trips to Canada to be with her son’s families She was a wonderful grandmother and was loved very much by her grandchildren, Julie, Angela, Carly and Cameron. She enriched their lives with her caring manner and love. Irene’s family, immediate and extended, was always the most important part of her life. Irene was a considerate, caring and loving person who led by example. Her passing has left a hole in the lives of those who loved her but who are better for having known her. Her family is grateful for the care and attention she received in her final years at Mayfield's Care Home. A Service for Irene will be held at Chester Crematorium, Blacon, on October 10th, 2017 at 9:20 am.
