RODDAN Dorothy Sylvia It is with great sadness that the Roddan family inform you of the death of our beloved Dorothy Roddan on 24th August 2022, at the age of 97. The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday 28th September at St John the Baptist Church, Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury, BS37 6BQ, and will be followed by a short service at 3.30pm at Westerleigh Crematorium, Westerleigh Road, BS37 8RF. All are welcome to attend both services, but the family will understand if people cannot make the journey to the Crematorium. There will be a wake from around 4.15pm at the Cupcake Fashion Tea Room at Ridgewood Community Centre, Yate, BS37 4AF, and all are welcome to come along to celebrate Dorothy's life. We appreciate that many of Dorothy's friends live in the North West and may not be able to make the journey to the funeral, so a service of thanksgiving for her life will be held at 12pm on Monday 3rd October at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Parkgate Road, Chester CH1 4AG, followed by refreshments at the Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port. All are welcome to attend. Aunty Dorothy loved flowers of all colours, and also expressed a wish that, should people prefer, donations might be made to the Macular Degeneration Society, and there will be a donations box available at the services.
