Chester's teenage midfielder Tom Crawford has signed for League Two side Notts County for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old impressed during his breakthrough season, making 17 first-team appearances and scoring the winner in the victory at Barrow on the final day of the campaign, earning a call-up into the England C squad, who he made his debut for earlier this week in a 4-2 defeat against the Republic of Ireland.
The academy graduate had been offered a one-year contract extension by the Blues but has opted to make the switch, with Chester now due to be compensated for the talented youngster owing to UEFA's ruling on players aged 23 or below who have been offered new terms by their club.
Crawford has attracted the attention of a host of clubs including West Brom, but has opted to make the move to Meadow Lane who are managed by former Bolton and Newcastle midfielder Kevin Nolan.
