FILMING for a new Netflix series is set to take place in Ellesmere Port.
The town's National Waterways Museum will be used as a location for scenes in the upcoming eight-part, Sherlock Holmes spin-off 'The Irregulars'.
TV crews will be filming at the museum tomorrow (March 17) from 7.30am until 5.30pm in an area close to South Pier Road, according to a letter sent out to nearby residents and businesses.
In the letter production company Drama Republic advises that when the camera is rolling they may need to control traffic on the road for short periods.
The letter adds: "Access to and from your home or business will be maintained, but, on occasion, we may need to ask you to wait until the end of a take.
"Filming on location would not be possible without the goodwill of the local residents, therefore we would like to extend our thanks in advance."
The Irregulars is a drama inspired by the Baker Street Irregulars, a gang of fictional street boys who served as intelligence agents for Sherlock Holmes in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books. It is due to air later this year.
