FILMING due to take place in Ellesmere Port for a new Netflix series has been cancelled because of coronavirus, the town's National Waterways Museum has confirmed.
The museum is to be used as a location for scenes in the upcoming eight-part, Sherlock Holmes spin-off 'The Irregulars'.
However, TV crews who were planning on filming at the museum today (March 17) have been forced to put shooting on hold due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Posting on Facebook, the National Waterways Museum said: "Please note the filming has been cancelled today and we’ll let you know the new dates when we know."
The Irregulars is a drama inspired by the Baker Street Irregulars, a gang of fictional street boys who served as intelligence agents for Sherlock Holmes in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books. It is due to air later this year.
