A STUDIO theatre has cancelled all current productions and rehearsals until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Board members at Tip Top Productions made the decision to make the cancellations in response to recent government guidelines.
No shows or events will now be taking place at the Forum Studio Theatre, while the production of Joseph – that was due to be performed at Theatr Clwyd in May – has also been cancelled.
It is hoped that all cancelled shows can be rescheduled for a later date if the situation improves. However, for now, rehearsals have also been put on hold.
A joint statement from Chairman, Brian Fray, and artistic director, Steve Davies, said:
“We believe the measures taken to be in the best interest of our members, volunteers and audiences and we will be constantly monitoring the situation in order to take what we feel is the safest option for all of our wonderful supporters.
“As a company with community right at its heart and where coming together is the essence of our DNA, the weeks and months ahead are clearly going to be very challenging for our members and volunteers.
“Ticket holders and prospective bookers will be contacted directly. Please be patient with us while we deal with this.
“The board are looking at how we can offer support during these challenging times. Regular updates and contact information will be posted via our social network platforms.”
