A CHESTER man has been sent to prison for beating a woman in her own home after forcing entry.
On October 12, 2019 Connor James Williams, 23, of Dyserth Road in Chester, used violence to gain entry into a property in Haydock Close, knowing that he was not wanted to enter.
On Friday, May 15, Williams pleaded guilty at North East Wales Magistrates Court. He was handed a four-week custodial sentence.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her, and was handed a 16-week custodial sentence, and a further two weeks after damaging the entrance door to the property.
These are to run concurrently so Williams will serve a total of 16 weeks in prison.
He was also given a restraining order and was ordered to pay £100 in compensation, along with £122 victim surcharge.
His guilty plea was taken into account when sentencing.
