A CHESTER city centre pub has announced it has closed its doors for the final time.
The Plumbers Arms, located on the Newgate Street cul-de-sac, announced the sad news on Facebook.
It had reopened in early July following the coronavirus lockdown.
It said: "The Plumbers Arms is now permanently closed.
"Thank you for all your custom and support over the past 12 years. Much love xxxx"
The pub served home-cooked food and had a variety of cask ales, as well as a beer garden near the historic City Walls.
In reaction to the news, the pub's patrons have been sharing their memories of going to The Plumbers Arms down the years.
One wrote: "The first pub in Chester I did curry and Chinese in!! Great memories and made some great friends here thank you."
Another wrote: "Some great memories in there made some friends for life . Such a shame gonna miss that place especially Sunday fundays."
