A DATE has been set for the start of a new Netflix drama series containing scenes shot in Chester and Ellesmere Port.
The upcoming eight-part, Sherlock Holmes spin-off 'The Irregulars' will launch on March 26.
Back in 2019, TV crews used Abbey Square in Chester as a location for filming before setting up their cameras at the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port in August last year.
Filming had been due to take place at the museum in the March but plans had to be put on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Irregulars is a drama inspired by the Baker Street Irregulars, a gang of fictional street boys who served as intelligence agents for Sherlock Holmes in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books.
All filming has taken place in locations across the North West.
The series is currently being promoted via Netflix's social media channels.
A tweet containing a trailer for the eight-part drama states: "A gang of troubled street teens are manipulated into solving crimes for the sinister Doctor Watson and his mysterious business partner – The Irregulars, coming 26 March."
