GARDEN waste collections have resumed across Cheshire West and Chester from today (March 1).
The green bin service had been suspended for almost three months to cope with the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the local authority.
The collection of garden waste is normally suspended for four weeks over the winter period.
However, this year saw the suspension initially extended from January 11 to February 8.
In January, Cheshire West and Chester Council announced that there would be a further three-week delay due to the ongoing pandemic and staff shortages.
The council’s Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) remains open to accept garden waste if a trip is essential.
