A BEAUTY clinic which has reopened its doors to the public at a Chester village is priding itself on being a safe practice to visit.
Tracey Jones and her daughter Laura opened Blend Skin & Beauty Clinic on High Street, Tarvin, in September 2020, and despite the continued lockdowns have gone from strength to strength.
And one of the new firm's crowning achievements was assuring the Care Quality Commission it was a safe place to visit, and successfully registering with the Government healthcare regulator – within just three weeks of the business opening.
Tracey, a registered nurse who is trained in aesthetic procedures, explained how this achievement is practically unheard of, with many clinics taking months or years to attain the achievement.
She said: "The process is very complex in that, as a business, we had to assure the CQC that we have placed safety at the pinnacle of our service.
"We had to supply evidence of risk assessment, medical polices and clear governance frameworks."
Clinical director Tracey also had to complete an in-depth interview with the Government's representative.
Tracey added: "Many clinics never attain this achievement, which often takes several months, in some cases years.
"We ensured that we started the process even before opening our doors so that we could offer assurance to anyone who walks through our doors that we are safe, caring and well led."
Tracey and Laura – who has had a long career in the beauty and skin industry – have both lived in Chester all their lives.
During the first Covid lockdown, they used the downtime to write a business plan which led to them opening their beauty clinic.
The team at the clinic consists of one doctor, two nurses, a clinic manager and four beauty therapists trained to a high level.
It offers beauty and medical aesthetic treatments alongside micro blading and professional skin consultations.
Tracey added one of their most popular treatments is the WOW fusion face treatment, which is suitable for anyone suffering from acne and rosacea.
