A MOTORIST caught speeding at more than 120mph on a Cheshire motorway was stopped by police.
The Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit reported in the early hours of Tuesday, April 20, that a driver had been stopped and reported on the M56, between Warrington and Chester, for travelling at over 120mph.
The motorist had explained he was on his way home to see family, police added.
Officers are reminding motorists of the importance of 'Arrive Alive', and highlighting the dangers of the 'Fatal Five'.
They are:
- Careless driving
- Drink/drug-driving
- Not wearing a seatbelt
- Distracted driving – eg using a mobile phone at the wheel
- Speeding
