THE Hospice of the Good Shepherd will be hosting a Spring Car Boot Sale at the grounds of Chester Football Club next month.

The event will raise money to support the #SaveYourHospice appeal.

Lockdown has encouraged people to have a sort-out and the hospice has been glad to receive some of the goods that people don't want anymore.

So with lockdown easing and the sun shining, people are invited to book your ‘pitch’ to sell your pre-loved items or come along to find some bargains.

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd will be hosting a fundraising Spring Car Boot Sale.

Samantha Eastwood, community and events fundraiser, said: “We’re excited to be hosting our first non-virtual event of the year and having a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the Hospice.

“Last year our Bank Holiday Boot Sale was a massive success and due to popular demand we had planned a second one in November but was postponed due to lockdown.

“Now we have a date, time and venue secured and we look forward to welcoming people to the event. Due to social distancing we have a very limited amount of pitches available so you’ll need to be quick to book your slot!”

The event will be the first non-virtual event for 2021 after all the hospice’s fundraising activities were cancelled or postponed.

The next Car Boot Sale will be held at the Chester Football Club car park, Bumpers Lane on Sunday, May 2, 8am -1pm.

There will also be refreshments, toilets and hand sanitising stations available.

You can pre-book your pitch via the hospice website by visiting https://www.hospiceofthegoodshepherd.com/event/may-car-boot-sale/ or call 01244 851811.

The cost is £10 for cars and £15 for vans. All proceeds will go to providing palliative care for local people living with life limiting illnesses.
