DETECTIVES are appealing for help following a burglary at a flat above a convenience store.

The property on Langdale Way in Frodsham was targeted sometime between 8am and 9am on Saturday, July 3.

Burglars forced entry into the flat, which is above the Top Shop store, and left with a quantity of cash and silver tableware.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and police are urging anyone with any information or video footage that may aid their investigation to get in touch.

Detective Constable Carl Humphreys said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are committed to doing all we can to trace the people responsible.

“The store beneath the flat was open at the time of the burglary and as part of our investigation we’re keen to hear from anyone who visited the shop around the time of the incident and believes they may have seen anything suspicious.

“The same goes for anyone who was passing through the area at the time of the burglary.

“We’re also keen to hear from anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid our investigation.

“I’d ask anyone with any information, no matter how small, to contact the team here at Chester on 101 to help ensure the people responsible for this incident are brought to justice.”
