"RESILIENT and determined" students at the Catholic High School in Chester are celebrating a successful set of A-level results.
The school says there is no doubt that the national lockdowns during the students' time in sixth form, as well as occasions where they had to self-isolate, presented challenges for both them and staff.
But it added: "They have worked together and once again established our sixth form as a leading light in Chester.
"We are extremely proud of our young people and we wish them every success with the next chapter of their lives."
Among the high-achieving students - including twin girls - were:
- Mae Garvey is undertaking a gap year and was awarded A*, A*, A
- Grace Garvey is going to Oxford to study French & Spanish and was awarded A*, A*, A*
- Onome Atughwe is going to Nottingham to study Adult Nursing and was awarded A*, A, B
- Tom Graham has an apprenticeship with a digital marketing company and was awarded A*, B, C
- Tara Evans is going to Leeds to study Pharmacology and was awarded A*, A, A
- Chiara Safina is going to University of Liverpool to study Marketing and was awarded A*, A*, A
- Isobel Franchetti is going to York University to study English Language and Linguistics and was awarded A*, A*, A*
