OUR borough is packed with beauty spots and views worth capturing on camera.

And now we want you to start sending in your picture perfect snaps for us to showcase each week in The Standard.

We are officially launching our Camera Club this month, and we would like you to get involved.

Join the Chester Standard Camera Club on Facebook and showcase your best photos of the local area. We'll be selecting the best each week to promote on the main Chester Standard Facebook page, on our website, and in print in our new dedicated Camera Club page, appearing each Thursday.

To help provide some inspiration, here are a few dozen glorious photos as taken by Chester BID and Marketing Cheshire of places to visit and enjoy in Chester. These wonderful photos were taken as part of a promotional campaign which has seen the best of Chester being advertised on TV as a 'Staycation destination'.

Photos don't just have to be in the Chester city area – you may wish to take photos in the picturesque Rivacre Valley in Ellesmere Port, or the spectacular views from Helsby Hill, or some wheel-to-wheel action from Oulton Park.

As the weeks go by, we may also be shaking things up a bit and asking for photos on a particular theme each week – your best photos capturing the spirit of autumn, or maybe your best pet pictures.
