A POP-UP Covid testing unit will be located in Chester next week.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s mobile testing base will be at the Bishop Street Car Park in Hoole from 9am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, offering Lateral Flow Tests.
In addition, home testing kits will be available to pick up from a pop-up unit in Ellesmere Port although no on-site testing will be taking place.
The testing base will be at the car park near to Iceland Food Warehouse outside The Port Arcades on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11.30am until 2.30pm.
For anyone wishing to do an on-site test in Ellesmere Port, there is a testing centre at Stanney Oaks Leisure Centre. This is open from Monday to Friday each week between 9am and 3pm.
The current approach to testing in the borough is not part of a surge testing programme but is in response to testing where Covid rates are relatively high.
Anyone with Covid symptoms should book a PCR test at: www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or by calling 119.
