Chester has been named as one of the most cost-effective places to go this Christmas for a day out with the family.
The Christmas markets open from November 18 - December 22 and feature a whole host of festive fun for the family.
Vanarama has put together a list of the cheapest family Christmas Days out in the UK by comparing the entrance fees, ice skating and Santa's Grotto prices for two adults and two children.
Chester markets do not have ice skating, so the cost used for Chester was an average of the other cities.
Entry to the markets is free, the cost of visiting Santa in his Grotto is £30 and parking for six hours is £11.
What is included in the Chester Christmas Markets?
