POLICE have confirmed that "enquiries remain ongoing" following the discovery of a large cannabis farm inside a vacant shop unit in Ellesmere Port.
Firefighters made the discovery at the former Superdrug premises on Rivington Road, near to the entrance to the Port Arcades shopping centre, last week.
They had been called out to reports of a water leak at about 2pm on Wednesday, November 10.
On entering the building, they found a large number of cannabis plants.
Police were in attendance at the scene while recovery work took place and remained there for a number of days after.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made at this stage, with a spokesman stating that "enquiries remain ongoing".
