A Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) is calling for local people to help with the sorting and packing of donations for Ukraine at its Cheshire site.
The operation, which is being run from Wood Farm on Sealand Road near Blacon has been collecting, sorting and packing items into boxes for around four weeks and recently sent out its second humanitarian convoy on Sunday (27 March).
The PISC is based at Ty AVOW in Wrexham but has established collection points in Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and Flint amongst other areas.
Chester has shown its support for Ukraine throughout the conflict with a vigil held at Chester Town Hall at the beginning of March and countless fundraising efforts from schools, businesses and individuals throughout the borough.
Organisations such as SHARE Centre and others in Chester and surrounding areas have collected aid and delivered it to those who are suffering as a result of Vladimir Putin's war.
However, the conflict is ongoing and organisers from the Polish Integration Support Centre say that there are still plenty of opportunities for local people who would like to help out to get involved with their work.
The site is open Monday to Friday from 9am through to 6pm and those who are interesting in contributing are asked to call Adrianna on 07523218957.
