A MAJOR road will be closed for the next three nights as repairs take place on a bridge linking the centre of Chester with the south of the city.
A support wall on Grosvenor Bridge was recently damaged following a road traffic collision, just after a 20mph speed limit on the road was lifted.
A temporary structure has been in place for the safety of road users, but structural repairs are to take place this week.
As a result, Grosvenor Road will be closed by the bridge between 7pm and 5am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 11-13. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed access.
The cycle path underneath the bridge, which heads around the perimeter of Chester Racecourse, will also be closed during these times.
