Bunbury Village Day will to return to the Jubilee Playing Fields on Saturday 25 June and this year the event is set to have a medieval theme.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their medieval finery with a prize on offer for the best dressed knight, princess, jester or villager. There will also be medieval sports, challenges and displays to keep visitors entertained throughout the day.

Adults will be 50 shillings (£2.50) and children under 16 are able to attend for free.

There will also be a well-stocked bar, barbecue and a parade featuring the Chester Brass Band will commence from 12.30pm.

Bunbury royalty - the Rose Queen and King will also be in attendance together with stalls, the WI cafe and traditional fairground rides.

Musical entertainment will continue into the evening with the organisers speculating that guitars and drums may make way for harps and lutes.
