Police say that both men remain under investigation pending further enquiries.
Cheshire Police have said that two men who were arrested last week as part of an investigation into a house fire near Tarvin have been released.
A 36-year-old and a 33-year-old were taken into custody near Blackpool and transported to Cheshire after a serious fire at a property near the Chester village, appeared to have started due to a cannabis farm in the building.
Firefighters were called to the address on Cross Lanes shortly before 4am on Thursday May 5, with five fire engines initially attending from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Winsford, Powey Lane and Malpas.
The fire at the detached bungalow was already well developed and crews used both a covering jet from outside the building and hose reel jets once inside to eventually extinguish it.
No one was in the property at the time of the fire and there were no casualties.
