A REDEVELOPED former coach house near Chester Railway Station in Hoole is to become a tattoo studio.
Plans have been approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council to turn The Old Coach House at The Grange, Hoole Road, into a tattoo studio. The application was made by Liana Kinnen, of the Steelworks Tattoo Company.
The detached two-storey building was vacant and a change of use application from its previous use of office space was submitted to planners.
Planners heard there was "no reasonable prospect of an occupant" as office space, while its new use would provide employment similar to the original use.
Recommending approval, a planning officer concluded: "The proposal is considered to represent a sustainable form of development that would reuse an existing building within the city centre. The proposal would preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area and would have no unacceptable impact in respect of visual amenity or highway safety."
The notice of planning permission was formally given on June 6.
