A CHESHIRE park has been named one of the best picture-perfect picnic spots in the UK.
Tatton Park recorded the third highest number of Instagram hashtags in new research published by online retailer Cazaar.co.uk.
The historic estate was pipped for first place by Chatsworth House in the Peak District and runner-up Lyndhurt in the New Forest.
With 96,238 Instagram hashtags, the popular Knutsford tourist attraction has attracted a record number of visitors choosing to relax in its extensive grounds.
A spokesman for Tatton Park said: “We’re so pleased that people have shared so many Tatton Park picture-perfect picnic places.
“With over 1,000 acres of picturesque parkland, beautiful gardens and fascinating farm settings to choose from, our visitors are hopefully spoilt for choice for unique picnic spots with stunning views.”
The estate has a neo-classical mansion, a deer park, rare breed farm and a medieval Old Hall.
Visitors can also pre-order boxed summer picnics from the Stables Restaurant.
Families a blanket and head to the park or gardens to enjoy food and drink with family and friends.
Chefs prepare a selection of food including sweet and savoury items made using Tatton estate, farm and local produce.
Tatton venison and feta roll, homemade coleslaw and red velvet slice drizzled with white chocolate are among the tasty items on offer.
Picnics are priced from £13.95 and are accompanied with a choice of cold drinks, tea or coffee.
