A CHESHIRE pub's new-look holiday cottage has proven to be a big hit.
The Lion at Malpas already offers a number of its rooms for staycations, but has now added one more to its offering with a converted building that will sleep up to six adults and three children in a quintessentially British experience.
Due to extensive interest, the cottage is already well booked up, but booking is available for 2023 onwards, with the possibility of some vacancies at the end of this year.
Previously, the cottage was used as the breakfast room for residents, but due to the popularity of breakfast to locals and visitors, breakfast has been moved to the main pub.
An extensive overhaul of the building sees it now offering three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), alongside a living room with an additional sofa bed, and a meeting/dining room that seats up to 10 people.
The design mimics the style which can be seen across The Lion’s other bedrooms, since the renovated pub opened its doors in the summer of 2020.
All of the rooms include an en-suite bathroom and the cottage can sleep up to six adults and three children in total. An additional bathroom can also be found downstairs.
The Lion’s new cottage has a living room which now contains a cosy open fire, a large sofa to relax on, and a smart TV where guests can catch up on their favourite shows.
Adjacent to the living room is the snug area which includes a record player and board games.
Over in the dining area – which can also play host as a meeting area – 10 guests can be seated comfortably. A fully equipped coffee machine is also available, as it an additional bar upon request.
Accessible by an entrance on the High Street, The Lion at Malpas’ new cottage has plenty of private parking for guests.
