AN Ellesmere Port man has been charged with attempted murder after two people in the town were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Marc Weaver of Lancaster Gardens, Ellesmere Port, was arrested on Monday, July 11, following the serious assault that left two people with puncture wounds and another person injured.
The 47-year-old has since been charged with attempted murder, section 18 assault and section 47 assault.
Weaver has been remanded in custody and will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court On Wednesday, July 13.
It follows an incident in Hope Farm Road, Great Sutton, at about midnight on Monday, July 11.
A 73-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
The 73-year-old woman, Cheshire Police say, remains in hospital in a stable condition, while the 31-year-old man has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
A third person involved in the incident was injured but did not require hospital treatment, a spokesperson for the force added.
