CHESTER'S Lakeland Leather store is hoping to encourage customers back to the city's high street with a parking offer following the shop's recent refurbishment.
Lakeland Leather has been a fixture in Chester since the 1950s, and their present location is in Eastgate Row South. Chester is the first of Lakeland Leather’s shops nationwide to be rebranded, and the shop’s fresh new look will include new artwork, a repaint and a coffee area upstairs.
Throughout the month of August, customers will be reimbursed £5 on a spend of £30 or more to help pay for parking, so they can come and see how fresh and inviting the store is for themselves.
Dianne Bobbett is the new manager at Lakeland Leather Chester but she’s no stranger to the store, having worked for 19 years in the company, starting in sales and working her way up to her current job. She welcomed the changes.
"It’s very exciting with the rebranding and the arrival of a new coffee machine,” she said. “Alongside the parking offer, it’s another incentive for customers to come up on the row, stay and have a good look around and see what we’re about.
"We want to encourage people to come back to Lakeland after the pandemic and give them the service they deserve."
While Lakeland also stocks clothing from the likes of Crew Clothing Company, Lily & Me and Lotus shoes, it is a renowned leather specialist with its own range of leather jackets, handbags, sheepskins and slippers.
Lakeland Leather is at 8-10 Eastgate Row South, Chester CH1 1LF.
The parking offer will run until August 31. For further information on Lakeland Leather, visit: https://www.lakelandleather.co.uk/.
