CHESTER'S Grosvenor Bridge has been damaged following a collision with a vehicle last night (October 12).

A section of the wall has now fell through which caused serious concern for the footpath below which is frequently used by the public. 

Cheshire Police have confirmed the crash involved a single vehicle and there has been no injuries reported.

This is the second time this year the bridge has been damaged following a similar incident back in March. 

Cheshire West and Chester Council have been approached for comment with regards to the extent of the damage and repairs.
