CHESTER'S 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon and Metric Marathon races will be raising money for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith children's hospices throughout 2023.
The charities have been announced as Chester-based Active Leisure Events' official race partners for all of next year's runs. The event organiser is taking great strides to support Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith and will be offering runners the chance to run and fundraise for the hospices, as well as adding easy ways to donate through race entry forms.
The Chester Marathon alone has won the ‘UK’s Best Marathon’ three times and regularly welcomes a sell-out crowd of 5,000 to the city.
Chester area fundraiser for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith, Nicky Eyes, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us, not only for the amount this will raise to help seriously ill local children, but also to raise awareness of what we do and the services we offer to local families.
"Having been a runner in these events myself in the past, they really are the best-organised in the area, they offer fantastic support to all their entrants.
"We feel very lucky to have partnered with Active Leisure Events and look forward to seeing lots of our running tops on the routes this coming year."
Event Director for Active Leisure Events, Callum Shields commented: "Our runners are the best on the planet.
"Year on year we successfully raise thousands of pounds for our official charities. This year will be no exception as charity and community is part of everything we do."
