AN incident has closed a section of the A548 Sealand Road near Chester.
The road is closed in both directions between the junction with Western Avenue, Blacon, and Seahill Road.
Road closure signs and diversions have been put in place, with traffic urged to travel via Hermitage Road and Saughall.
Flintshire County Council are providing support and helping divert traffic.
Cllr Bernie Attridge of the Connah's Quay Central ward reported via Facebook: "Sealand Road closed due to a serious road traffic accident."
Cllr Dale Selvester Queensferry and Sealand Ward reported: "Sealand Road: This road is currently closed due to a serious accident. Diversions are in place via Saughall. Flintshire County Council are providing support and helping divert traffic."
