EMERGENCY services were called out to a village near Chester amid concerns for the welfare of a family at a potentially flooded home.
Cheshire Police, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service were all called out to Farndon at about 2.30pm on Monday, January 16, at a time when the River Dee levels had risen to a point that flooding was possible.
The emergency services were called out following reports of concerns for the welfare of a family on Townfield Lane, Farndon. Police said it had been reported the family were believed to be inside a property that was possibly flooded.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Police, fire and ambulance attended the scene and have located the family safe and well."
A Flood Alert, which had been first put out on January 8, was still in effect for the Farndon area, as well as Shocklach, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Puddington and parts of Chester.
