A PROPERTY PR expert has urged Chester's leaders to 'work together' to make the city the retail, business and leisure destination of choice.

An event held at Whitewall Gallery in Chester, hosted by Chester BID with the support of Cheshire West and Chester Council and Grosvenor, saw dozens of property industry figures turn out to hear about how to extract maximum value from PR in 2023.

The event formed part of Chester BID’s #INVESTCHESTER campaign which aims to attract investors and enhance the city as a place to live, work and visit.

Speaking at the event, Kate, who is Director of Inform Communications said: "You are all shining examples of how by working together you can make Chester a more desirable place to visit, live and invest. It’s now about building on that collaborative approach, supporting each other and the work of Chester BID.

"You can do that simply by using the tagline #InvestChester in your social posts, supporting the BID campaigns or using your own voices and channels to demonstrate what a fantastic city Chester really is. If everyone is shouting about Chester with one voice it will really amplify that message."

Carl Critchlow, CEO of Chester BID said the event was an ‘important marker’ in the #INVESTCHESTER campaign - helping businesses and city leaders to think tactically about how to gain outward investment in the city.

Carl said: "Chester has great connectivity, infrastructure and opportunities and Kate’s talk helps to remind businesses that it is a credible and powerful place to invest. I have no doubt that 2023 is just the start of what will be a compelling future for the city."

The next speaker and networking event will feature the founder of Capital&Centric, social impact developer, investor and operator Tim Heatley on Thursday, February 23, from 5.30pm-8pm at The Garret Theatre, at Storyhouse. Tim will be giving his advice on how to attract more people to live in the city in the future.
