TOTAL Fitness has completed an overhaul of its Chester club as part of a multi-club refurbishment plan.

The £350k makeover has increased the size and capacity of the main gym floor space, creating a larger cardio and strength zone, as well as a new spin experience with industry leading ICG Life Fitness bikes. The mind and body studio and café have also been refurbished with a fresh new look.

The work carried out at the Chester club is part of an ongoing commitment from Total Fitness to offer their members the best fitness and health experience at every visit. The work was part of a total investment of £1.1m across four of their health clubs.

The gym floor now has space for a dedicated cardio hub that includes a range of cardio equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, and exercise bikes.

In addition to the new cardio area, the main gym floor has undergone a full refurbishment which includes a larger free weights area with a new rubber floor. Targeted equipment is now available for members including a Glute Bridge Machine, new Sled Track, Dumbbell sets and four new Power Racks.

The lower gym floor is now home to a new Multifunctional Rig, complete with Kettlebells, Slam Balls, Sandbags and a Squat Rack.

The installation of the ICG Life Fitness bikes means the club can deliver Coach by Colour spin classes with real-time feedback and the opportunity to personalise workouts.

As well as the investments made in new equipment, Total Fitness has transformed the interior look throughout the Chester club, making it an enticing space for members to work out work out and refuel in the refreshed café area.

Total Fitness champions variety and a 360 approach to fitness, offering a multitude of ways to workout including swimming pools, classes, personal and group training, squash and digital workouts. Local residents can experience Chester’s facilities for free using a Total Fitness one day free pass.
